About My Practice
Watching your child or teen struggle emotionally can be heartbreaking, but you don’t have to face this alone. As a board certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), I work with children, teens and young adults (6 to 28 yrs) using a strengths-based approach to support and empower my patients and their family with knowledge and tools to thrive. Together, we can navigate the complexities of mental health and build your brighter future.
My Approach to Treatment
Every person is unique, so is their path to wellness. I offer personalized treatment plans that consider the whole person, not just their symptoms. We'll look at how the mind, body and environment impact your mental health and work together addressing the root causes of the emotional or behavioral struggles. I utilize a big toolbox to promote long-term well-being and resilience, including supportive therapy, medication management, whole-body supports and strengths-based coaching.
What You Can Expect From Our First Session
My approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, evidence based practice and strong collaboration with my client, which includes parents of children and teens. I start with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your unique challenges, needs and strengths. Then we work together to create a personalized treatment plan that may include supportive psychotherapy, medication management, nutritional supplements and wellness coaching. I believe we all need a strong support system, so collaborating with your other healthcare providers as well as advocating for your child's needs to teachers/school, is something I do well. This supports your ability to thrive and improves long term positive outcomes. If you’re looking for a compassionate, experienced partner in you or your child's mental health journey, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to create a path to healing and hope.
The Importance of Patient Education
